Research

Anthropology students and faculty are engaged in exciting research crisscrossing the globe. From laboratories and internships in Washington, D.C., to field sites in Kenya, Ireland and Israel, they are making important discoveries about human culture, language, biology, behavior and evolutionary history.

Our faculty produce dozens of peer-reviewed articles, textbook chapters, op-eds and books each year, and they secure grants from organizations such as the National Science Foundation and the John Templeton Foundation. They are returning the remains of Vietnam prisoners of war to their families, going behind the doors of U.S. nuclear weapons labs and tracing million-year-old hominin footprints through the in-house Center for the Advanced Study of Human Paleobiology.
