At GW, anthropology students are immersed in one-of-a-kind learning experiences. They may choose to intern in the nation's top museums or international development organizations. Or, they may pursue groundbreaking archaeological excavation at Koobi Fora Field School and other sites around the world.
On campus, many students conduct independent research studies alongside faculty in our cutting-edge labs based out of the Center for the Advanced Study of Human Paleobiology.
Anthropological Quarterly Journal
Published by the GW Department of Anthropology, the Anthropological Quarterly journal is co-edited by faculty members and occasionally publishes graduate student work alongside articles from external experts. Students who work in the department office or for certain professors may assist with the publication.
