Progress our understanding of our own evolutionary history, and how we came to be. Specifically examining the hominin lineage, by utilizing genomics, in conjunction with morphology, to construct a more accurate representation of our evolutionary tree.
Research Experience:
Investigated the presence or absence of mucin genes in multiple organisms to update their lineage in an evolutionary tree. Performed in the Gokcumen Lab at University at Buffalo.
