I am interested in the role pigmentation genes in carnivores, specifically felids, in relation to mechanisms of sexual selection. I am currently looking at ASIP and SLC24A5 as candidate genes for protein evolution. Additional research interests of mine are animal behavior, social cognition, and language acquisition and development.
