Esther Stoppani is currently deciding on their topic for their Master's thesis. They plan to investigate the relationships between mental health, pain disorders, and the immune system by looking at candidate genes. Additionally, the prevalence of bioessentialism in the existing literature on evolutionary genetics is of particular interest to them, and they hope to help dismantle some of these ideas both in the scientific community and in the general public.
