Evolutionary Paleoecology Laboratory

The Evolutionary Paleoecology Laboratory, located in the Science & Engineering Hall, is dedicated studying the environmental and ecological context of early hominins and other primates. Its director is Prof. René Bobe. The lab maintains a collection of modern mammal bones, including several specimens of monkeys, and major databases of fossils found in Kenya and Ethiopia.

Plio-Pleistocene fauna are intensively studied in the lab
