Syndemic Diabetes: Entanglements of Poverty, Trauma and HIV

We invite you to join the Anthropology Department on Monday February 11th for a Colloquium Talk by Professor Emily Mendenhall, Associate Professor of Global Health in the Science, Technology, and International Affairs (STIA) Program in the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. Dr. Mendenhall will be presenting on "Syndemic Diabetes: Entaglements of Poverty, Trauma and HIV", based on her multi-sited ethnographic research research in Chicago, Delhi, Johannesburg and Nairobi, research that will be featured in her forthcoming book, Rethinking Diabetes.
